Gunmen open fire in Ghaziabad court compound

Udham Singh Parmavat was brought to the court in Kavi Nagar police station area from the Ghaziabad district jail in connection with a hearing when the duo, dressed in lawyers' uniform, shot and seriously injured him and the others, Home department sources here said.

All the injured were rushed to a local hospital from where Parmaval, who is a history sheeter having 36 cases against him, was referred to Delhi.

The two gunmen -- identified as Sachin Tewatiya and Parth Pandit -- have been nabbed, the sources added.
