Gur closes steady in thin trading

In range-bound movements, gur prices ended steady at the the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today in the absence of any worthwhile buying or selling.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled at last levels.
Marketmen said negligible arrivals and offtake by stockists mainly kept gur prices steady.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,850-2,950, dhayya Rs 3,000-3,100 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,400-2,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
