Gur pedi slips in Delhi, Chakku in Muzaffarnagar

In otherwise steady markets, gur pedi prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid fresh supply.
In a similar pattern, gur Chakku prices dropped in Muzaffarnagar gur markets on weak demand, while other gur varieties ruled flat.
Marketmen said fresh arrivals from manufacturing areas along with weak offtake by stockists and retailers, mainly pulled down gur pedi in Delhi and chakku in Muzaffarnagar.
In Delhi, gur Pedi prices softened by Rs 50 to end at Rs 2,850-2,950 per quintal.
Coming to Muzaffarnagar, prices of gur Chakku slipped by Rs 100 to close at Rs 2,350-2,500 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,850-2,950, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,350-2,500, khurpa Rs N.T. And Ladoo Rs N.T.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,600-2,650 and dhayya Rs NT.
