On the other hand, gur khurpa prices hardened by Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar on paucity of stocks, while pedi prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in Muradnagar on withdrawal of support and increased supplies.
Marketmen said tight stocks on restricted supplies mainly pushed up gur khurpa prices in Muzaffarnagar.
Meanwhile, gur pedi prices in Muradnagar declined due to absence of buying support, they added.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur khurpa prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,700-2,750 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,700-2,750 and dhayya Rs 2,850-2,900.
