Guy Pearce is in negotiations to star in Sony's 'Bloodshot' after Michael Sheen's exit due to scheduling issues.
The film, starring Vin Diesel in the lead role, is currently in production.
Based on the Valiant comic book series, the story revolves around a mob killer who enters a witness protection programme.
When he is betrayed by a handler, he becomes part of a secret experiment to create the ultimate killing machine, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film also features Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley and Alex Hernandez.
Dave Wilson is directing from a script by Arrival writer Eric Heisserer.
