The first promotional posters of Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming film 'Haider', an adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy 'Hamlet', are out today.
The makers have released four posters of the film, set in Kashmir.
In one of the posters, a blood-drenched Shahid Kapoor is seen embracing Shraddha Kapoor. Another shows Shahid, who plays the titular role, holding a gun in one of his hands.
The movie also stars Tabu and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
Shot predominantly in Kashmir, 'Haider' completes Bhardwaj's Shakespeare trilogy after 'Maqbool' (2003) and 'Omkara' (2006).
The film, produced by Bhardwaj and Siddharth Roy Kapur, is scheduled to release on October 2 with Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Bang Bang'.
