Hand grenade recovered from senior cop's residence

One Chinese-made hand grenade was recovered by a team of Manipur police bomb squad from the frontal gate of a senior police officer's residence in Thangmeiband, police said.
The grenade was earlier discovered around 9 am by locals from the Thangmeiband residence of Y Sushil who is the DSP of Bishnupur district.
Later, a team of bomb squad came to the spot, retrieved the grenade and took it to a safe place where it was successfully detonated around 11 am, police said.
