The Union Minister for Water Resources has reached Bhopal and taken up his new assignment, his representative Rajiv Jain said today.
Rawat is working along with AICC general secretary and in-charge of party's affairs in Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Prakash, Jain said.
AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi had informed Rawat about his appointment through a letter and asked him to take up his new assignment immediately as per the instruction of the party president, Jain said.
Rawat's proposed tour of the flood-hit areas of Uttarakhand, including Badrinath and Narayanbagad in Chamoli district and Kapkot, Dharchula and Munsyari in Bageshwar district, from November 12 to 15 have been postponed due to his new responsibilities.
