The price increase will be applicable on Street 750, Sportster family and Softail range of bikes in India, Harley- Davidson India said in a statement.
The new prices will come into effect from April 1.
At present, the Street 750 model price starts at Rs 4.52 lakh while prices of three models in the Sportster family -- Iron 883, 1200 Custom and Forty Eight, starts at Rs 7.37 lakh, Rs 8.9 lakh and Rs 9.12 lakh, respectively.
Explaining the move behind the price hike, the company said: "The increase is due to the impact of the Rupee-Dollar exchange rate."
On Friday, rupee had closed at 67.05 against the dollar. Although, it was a two and half month high, the Indian currency has weakened in the recent past against the dollar.
