: The dawn-to-dusk 12-hour hartal called by CPI(M) in Thrissur in protest against the murder of a party worker here paralysed normal life across the district today.
Shops and commercial establishments remained closed in most parts of the district. However, services of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses were not affected.
CPI(M) Thirunelloor branch committee M Shihab was hacked to death at Pavaratty Chukku Bazaar near Thrissur last night.
Party District Secretary A C Moideen alleged that RSS was behind the murder. He demanded strict police action against the culprits involved in the crime.
