The Rs 73-crore schemes have been approved in a meeting of the Haryana State Flood Control Board held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, officials said.
Hooda directed the officers concerned to get a survey conducted of Rithal-Mundhal, Beri-Dujana, Lakhanmajra-Meham drains to get permanent engineering solution to the problem of scuffing, they said.
To resolve the problem of foul smell emitting from the drain passing through Panipat, the chief minister directed the officers to get box drain constructed in the city.
Meanwhile, Hooda also asked the departments concerned to adopt zero tolerance in cases of atrocities committed against Scheduled Castes, the officials said.
