Haryana celebrates 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel

Functions marking the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel were organised across Haryana today in which the freedom fighter was remembered for his work for national integration.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar described Sardar Patel as a great freedom fighter and a symbol of national unity, who played a leading role in the country's struggle for independence and kept the nation united.
Khattar also started 'Run for Unity' from Kurukshetra.
'Run for Unity' events were organised across the state in which the ministers and officials took part.
On the occasion, pledge of 'National Unity Day' was also administered to those who participated in the functions.
