Speaking on the occasion, Solanki said that Mahatma Gandhi adopted the policy of mass movement to secure freedom of the country.
The Father of Nation showed the path of non-violence not only to Indians, but to the entire humanity, he said and urged people to follow the ideals and principles propagated by Mahatma Gandhi.
Lal Bahadur Shastri carried forward the movement of Mahatma Gandhi and sacrificed his life for the country, the Governor said.
A 'Sarv Dharam Prathna Sabha' was also organised where four priests representing Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, and Islam recited sermons from religious scriptures.
Solanki urged the people of Haryana to wholeheartedly participate in the Rashtriya Swachata Abhiyan launched in the entire country today to keep India clean.
