Approval in this regard was given by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, an official spokesman said.
He said that under the new schemes water supply would be augmented at a cost of over Rs 8.24 crore in 12 assembly constituencies namely Kalka, Panchkula, Uchana Kalan, Julana, Narwana, Thansar, Nangal Choudhry, Tohana, Fatehabad, Dabwali, Ellenbad and Kalanwali.
Giving details of the ongoing schemes, he said that water supply would be increased at a cost of over Rs 7.92 crore in villages of Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Jind, Sirsa and Sonipat.
Similarly, over Rs 8.76 crore would be spend under Desert Development Programme for augmenting water supply in areas of Bhiwani, Fatehabad and Sirsa, he said.
