Also, sprinkler sets has been provided in an area of 33,245 hectares at a cost of Rs 26.79 crore, in the form of subsidy, during this period, a spokesperson of Agriculture Department said.
Besides, 5,005 applications for sprinkler set have been uploaded through online system this financial year for which work is in progress, he added.
He said as many as 1,745 Bio gas plants have been commissioned for the families of farmers in the state by providing subsidy of Rs 8,000 to Rs 9,000 for each plant under the Bio Gas Scheme, during November 2014 to July 2016.
The spokesman said total food grain production during 2015-16 went up to 163.74 lakh tonnes as compared to 152.36 lakh tonnes during 2014-15.
