Haryana govt plans facility centres to make MSMEs more viable

Haryana government has decided to set up 31 centres in the public-private-partnership mode to inject growth and competitiveness into the the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector.
Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that 31 Common Facility Centres (CFCs) would be opened under the Cluster Development Scheme.
Diagnostic Study Reports (DSRs) have been prepared for 20 clusters and submitted to the Centre for its appraisal, he said.
"Of these, five clusters, including Bahadurgarh, Panipat, Sonipat and Karnal, have been approved for setting up of the CFCs. Four additional CFCs are expected to be okayed shortly," he said.
"The clusters will put in place an an institutional support mechanism to inject growth and competitiveness in the MSME sector.
"They will address the common needs of MSMEs in the fields of research and development, technology upgrade, standardisation of products, quality testing and marking facilities and marketing initiatives, etc.," he added.
