With a view to achieving the target of providing quality education, Haryana Government has prepared a scheme to strengthen the Academic Monitoring System of schools under which officers would inspect the schools in a phased manner.
Officers of the Directorate and districts would be appointed for this work.
The inspection report would be filled online which could also be checked by the officers online.
For this, training is being imparted to officers of Directorate, NCERT and from the field.
This was disclosed in a meeting of Steering Committee of the Department chaired jointly by Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, R K Khullar and Principal Secretary, School Education Department T C Gupta, today.
Talking about the Academic Monitoring System, Gupta said that the monitoring officers would meet students and members of school management committees to find out the ground situation of schools and students, besides identifying teachers who are doing excellent work.
He said that a special mobile application was being developed for academic monitoring of the schools which would soon be launched formally. Location would also be registered while feeding data into this application.
Therefore, directions would be issued to feed data within school premises.
Also, it would be possible to fill it in offline mode. Pictures of main gate, mid-day meal and toilets would also be uploaded on it, Gupta added.
He said that department has been making concerted efforts to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Digital India.
Also, the process of giving approval to visit foreign countries would also be made online.
Discussions were also held regarding Learning Enhancement Programme, Management Information System, Annual Performance Report and One Teacher-One Classroom Programme, the officer added.
