Stating this here today, an official spokesperson said Rs 4.64 crore have been earmarked to provide this facility.
He said a large number of Hepatitis-C patients were found in Ratia sub-division of district Fatehabad. About 2.18 lakh people were screened under a survey last year in Ratia including 78 villages, 17 wards and three colonies.
As many as 7,533 samples were collected during the survey out of which 1,630 cases were found positive including 692 women and 938 men.
The spokesman said a similar survey was also conducted in districts of Jind and Kaithal this year. The survey in village Durana of district Jind was conducted in February this year in which about 6,000 people were covered and 207 samples were collected, out of which 89 cases were positive.
Similarly, the survey in village Roheru of district Kaithal was conducted in March this year in which 7,786 people were covered and 342 samples were collected, out of which 107 cases were positive.
