"Aspire to have income of Rs 100,000 per acre by farm production management, diversification and direct marketing," Dhankar told farmers," Haryana Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar said at a farmers meet organised by CII here.
Dhankar also felicitated progressive farmers Krishna Yadav of Haryana and Gurpreet Singh Shergil of Punjab for their contribution and achievements in the agriculture sector, a release by CII said.
He called upon the farming community of the state to adopt direct marketing of their products to increase their income.
Dhankar called for establishing agribusiness schools in the states of Punjab and Haryana which will impart training on various ways to market agro products.
"Farmers can establish their own mandis for direct marketing of their products at their convenience. Farmers must not hesitate to learning crop management techniques. It is of utmost importance to focus on crop marketing management apart from crop protection management," he said.
