"A Police Recruitment Board has already been constituted for recruiting 11,000 constables," DGP S N Vashisht said.
Replying to a question on honour killing in the state, Vashisht said that recently three such cases came up and the accused were arrested within 24 to 28 hours.
On rape cases, he said that Women Helpline, Women Police Control Room and Women Rapid Action Force have been setup to curb crime against women. Apart from this, women commandos have also been appointed to impart special training to girl students in schools and colleges.
The bureau building would be setup over an area of about two acres on NH-73 which would be completed within two years at a cost of about Rs 12 crore.
