All districts of Haryana will soon have a one stop centre (OSCs) to facilitate integrated services for women affected by violence, the state's women and child development department said here today.

Set up under the Central government's Nirbhaya Fund, the state already has seven functional OSCs in seven districts including Karnal, Bhiwani, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rewari and Narnaul, the official said.

The proposal to set up more such centres in the remaining 15 districts of Ambala, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal,Kurukshetra, Mewat, Palwal, Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the official said.

The aim of these centres is to facilitate integrated services like police assistance, medical and legal aid, psycho-social counselling, and temporary stay for five days.

A copy of the OSC scheme would be forwarded to all the deputy commissioners and district programme officers for their information and for opening bank account in the name of the scheme, to be operated by the deputy commissioner of the concerned district, the official said.

To set up the new centres, temporary provision of space would be made within the complex of a civil hospital or any other existing office building within the radius of two kilometers from the hospital.
