Haryana government will put in place a system for the timely delivery of all citizen-centric services and officials of the department concerned would be held accountable for delays when any service is sought by a citizen, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said.
Khattar, while reviewing the progress on the roll-out of e-services, e-stamping, new state portal and biometric services, announced this here, an official release said.
The state government wants to ensure that no citizen of Haryana whether in an urban area or in the remotest village faces any difficulty in obtaining the services from various departments, Khattar said.
The liability for delay which used to put on the beneficiaries would be shouldered by the concerned department, he said.
"We want to create an environment in which people are not required to come to the government offices again and again to get their work done. On the contrary, we go and inform them if something is missing in their request or application. We want to provide such kind of good governance and it could be possible only with delivery of e-services," he added.
He said the Haryana government would roll out 22 e-modules in order to provide various e-services covering 11 of Revenue Department, nine of Health and Urban Local Bodies department and two of application status tracking and verification of certification on May 2. Besides, e-Stamping, biometric attendance and new State portal would also be launched on the same day, he said.
These modules would provide hassle-free services to the citizens as well as increase the functional efficiency and accountability in operations, he said.
While reviewing the progress of Aadhar-based registration of birth, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure that name of every child should be registered in their birth certificate.
It is the responsibility of the department to get the record checked from time to time and ensure that every child name should be printed on birth certificate within a year of birth, he said.
He directed the officers to review the same and instruct the registering authority in this direction.
The chief minister also reviewed the progress of rolling out e-stamping, Aadhar-based registration and launch of new state portal.
