Haryana to set up biometric attendance system for doctors

The Haryana Government has ordered introduction of biometric attendance system at all Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers and district hospitals in the state to ensure greater presence of doctors and paramedical staff.
"Biometric attendance system will soon be implemented in all hospitals of the state to ensure presence of doctors and paramedical staff," state Health Minister Anil Vij said here today.
According to an official release, Vij has taken a serious note of media reports about a pregnant woman spending hours on the road due to absence of doctor at the Primary Health Centre at Madlauda in Panipat and directed Additional Chief Secretary, Health, P K Mahapatra to look into it.
