Hathway Cable and Datacom Q3 net loss widens to Rs 44.40 cr

Hathway Cable and Datacom's standalone net loss widened to Rs 44.40 crore during the third quarter ended on December 31, 2016.
The company had posted net loss of Rs 41.18 crore in the October-December period a year ago, it said in a BSE filing today.
However, its total income during the quarter under review was up 20.03 per cent at Rs 337.58 crore as against Rs 281.24 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
Hathway's total expenses were rose by 13.93 per cent to Rs 345.27 crore as against Rs 303.03 crore a year ago.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Hathway informed that its board in a meeting held today has approved "to sell transfer, dispose if cable TV business of the company" through slump sale to its wholly-owned subsidiary Hathway Datacom Central Pvt Ltd.
Shares of Hathway today settled 0.96 per cent down at Rs 36.10 apiece on BSE.
