Amy Adams is set to star while Jean-Marc Vallee is on board as director, reported Deadline.
The book by "Gone Girl" author Flynn was optioned in 2011 by Blumhouse, before "Gone Girl" became a worldwide phenomenon.
The drama was first envisioned as a feature film at Alliance Films, before it was developed as a serialized drama at Blumhouse. Netflix was reportedly eying the drama series.
Marti Noxon will serve as showrunner. Flynn will executive produce and write several episodes, with Noxon, Vallee, Jason Blum, Charles Layton, Jessica Rhoades and Nathan Ross also attached as executive producers.
Dogged by her own demons, she must unravel the psychological puzzle of her own past if she wants to get the story - and survive this homecoming.
