The Jharkhand High Court today directed the CBI to investigate the slow pace of work of the Ranchi-Jamshedpur national highway.
A division bench of justices Aparesh Kumar Singh and Anil Kumar Choudhary asked the CBI to file an FIR against the culprits after three months if it found negligence and other shortcomings in the construction of the highway.
The counsel for the petitioner submitted that the widening and repair of the highway was started in 2012, but till now no concrete work has been done.
The court directed that the matter be put up after four weeks.
