HC dismisses bail plea

The Madras High Court today
dismissed a bail petition filed by man who is accused of killing a child and injuring a woman after ramming his motorcycle in an inebriated condition.
Justice S Nagamuthu rejected the contention of the petitioner Karthik that it was a bailable offence and observed the offence would certrainly fall in the act the intention of causing bodily injury and is likely to cause death while dismissing the bail plea.
The medical records showed that the petitioner was drunk, the Judge said.
