The Allahabad High Court today dismissed a petition seeking directions to the Centre and the SPG for searching for Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a sabbatical.
A division bench of Chief Justice Dr D Y Chandrachud and Justice Rajan Roy dismissed the petition, filed by a local lawyer, at its admission stage.
The petitioner had prayed that a direction be issued to the central government and the Director General of Special Protection Guards (SPG) to search for Rahul Gandhi and if he was not in the security of SPG, to take him in its security.
