: Madras High Court today ruled that recruitment of 333 pharmacists on a temporary basis by the Medical Services Recruitment Board would be subject to the outcome of a writ against the notification, giving weightage for marks scored in Diploma, Higher Secondary/Pre-University, and SSLC marks.
Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayana, after hearing a writ petition filed by P.Shanmugavel, said the online process of appointments could not be stayed now, but the appointments would be subjecte to the final decision of the writ petition.
The petitioner submitted that the notification gave weightage to marks scored in Diploma, Higher secondary and SSLC, thus affecting candidates who graduated many years ago.
Besides, the mode of issuing marks now is more liberal than earlier days, the petitioner claimed.
