A division bench comprising Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed this orders on a petition filed by Asha Chauhan.
During the hearing, the court observed that public interest is involved in this matter and treated it as a PIL.
The petitioner challenged the tender notice issued in January, wherein tenders were invited by the HP Bus Stand Management and Development Authority for the repairing work of the Old Bus Stand.
The petitioner further said that women passengers who are harassed and eve teased feel secure in waiting rooms, and alleged that the management is more concerned with their profit rather than such social issues.
