A division bench of Justices P K Jaiswal and D K Paliwal directed the state government to transfer the deputy superintendent of the hospital Dr Sunil Narang within 15 days.
Advocate Manish Yadav, lawyer of Pramod Dwivedi, one of the petitioners, said they had contended, by placing evidence before the court, that Dr Narang was "influencing" the probe and he should be suspended or shunted out.
A pipe in a newly inaugurated operation theatre of M Y Hospital which was supposed to supply oxygen allegedly supplied the anaesthetic nitrous oxide gas due to a mix-up in the installation.
It led to death of Ayush (5) and Rajvir (1) during surgeries in the last week of May.
