Justice Suresh Kait also issued notices to Cooperative Store Ltd Super Bazaar and M/S Writers and Publishers Ltd which is managing the affairs of the ailing co-operative.
It also asked the Registrar of Co-operative Society to respond to the plea of Super Bazaar Karamchari Hiteshi Sangathan, a registered trade union of employees, challenging the notice.
The petition, filed through lawyer Ravindra S Garia, said the employer issued the notice on October 5 asking "the employees not to report for work and posted armed goons on all the establishment premises to threaten and forcibly prevent the employees from reporting for work." (More)
