The plea, which was mentioned before a bench of justices B D Ahmed and Sanjeev Sachdeva for urgent hearing of the matter, has also sought stay on the telecast of the film on a television channel on August 22.
Hearing the contention raised in the petition, the bench said they cannot show such a film.
"They cannot show adult movie like this. Let the matter be heard tomorrow," the court said.
He also sought direction to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to carry out detailed enquiry into "irregular re-certification" of the film done by CBFC.
Advocate Gaurav Kumar Bansal, appearing for Gopi Chand, claimed that the film which is having "highly objectionable content and not at all fit for unrestricted public exhibition, was granted with U/UA certificate by CBFC in a patently irregular manner.
"The said film is scheduled for telecast on television and if the same happens, it will result in the gross violation of provisions of Cable Network Regulation Act and also adversely affects the rights and interest of hundreds of thousands of minors in the country, especially children and adolescents," the plea said.
