HCL Infosystems posts Rs 198 crore net loss in June quarter

IT firm HCL Infosystems today said its standalone net loss has widened to Rs 198.03 crore in the April-June 2014 period.
The Noida-based company had posted a net loss of Rs 40.25 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, HCL Infosystems said in a filing to the BSE.
Its net sales also fell to Rs 1,337.65 crore in the said quarter compared to Rs 1,971.22 crore during the April-June 2013 period.
Revenues from hardware products and solutions stood at Rs 261.42 crore, while that from distribution was at Rs 1,116.23 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2013-14 fiscal.
The company's net losses widened to Rs 214.52 crore for the fiscal ended June 30, 2014 from a lower loss of Rs 79.98 crore in the previous fiscal.
HCL Infosystems also reported lower consolidated net sales of Rs 7,848.31 crore in FY2013-14 compared to Rs 9,246.56 crore in the previous financial year.
