Hindustan Copper Ltd today said it has signed an MoU with Manganese Ore (India) Ltd for the Malanjkhand Copper Project, with an objective to create long-term business synergy for both the companies.
The MoU was inked between HCL CMD, Santosh Sharma and MOIL CMD, Mukund Chaudhary.
As per the memorandum, MOIL will procure its entire requirement of silica sand, used for backfilling of its mines, from HCL's unit located at Malanjkhand in Balaghat District, an HCL statement said.
"A copper ore tailing (COT) beneficiation plant is going to be commissioned at Malanjkhand by HCL, which is expected to generate high-grade silica sand to the tune of 5,500 tn/day. This sand will be suitable for road making, construction of building, etc," HCL officials said.
