A Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officer, posted in the Education Department at Panchkula, booked for allegedly sexually harassing a woman employee was today arrested by the Panchkula police.
"Reagan Kumar was arrested today," Panchkula's Deputy Commissioner of Police R K Meena said.
On the complaint of the victim, the police had last month booked Reagan Kumar, administrative officer-cum-secretary and CEO of Utkarsh Society, Secondary Education Department.
The complainant had alleged that on May 28 the officer called her to his cabin and offered coffee which she refused, police had said earlier. The woman alleged that the officer on May 29 again called her to his cabin and tried to sexually abuse her, according to the police.
The officer was booked under Section 354 A (for physical touch) and 354 D (for stalking) of the Indian Penal Code, DCP Meena said.
