: A head clerk in the Sub registrar's office in nearby Tirupur district was today caught red handed while accepting money to show some official favour.
Police said the man working in the office in Kunnathur demanded Rs 10,000 from a person for issuing an encumbrance certificate.
He approached Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption officials, who laid a trap and gave him marked notes to be paid to the head clerk.
The head clerk was arrested while he was accepting the money, police said.
