Head Constable caught taking bribe of Rs 2,500

A Head Constable posted in neighbouring Dhar district was caught today by Lokayukta Police while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500.
Jagdish Prasad Dawar, posted at Tirla Police Station, was trapped on the basis of a complaint filed by a villager, Antar Singh, a resident of Bori village near here, said B S Parihar, Lokayukta DSP.
He had demanded money from the villager for settling a dispute between him (Antar) and his brothers, he said.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Dawar.
