The Governor has appointed Prof J V Vaishampayan, of Applied Economics Department, Lucknow University, as the Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur for a period of three years from the date of taking charge, a Raj Bhawan release here said.
Besides, the Governor also appointed Prof Rakesh Kapoor, head of Urology Department, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow as Director for a period of five years or the age of 65 which ever is less, the release added.
