Health department employee arrested for taking bribe

A health department employee was today arrested by sleuths of anti-corruption department while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 2,000 in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan.
Prakash Patidar, posted as an upper division clerk at the office of chief medical and health officer, had demanded Rs 2,000 from Surendra Singh, a second grade compounder, to get him his salary, IG ACB Smita Srivastava said here.
He had already taken Rs 2,000 and was demanding more money.
On a complaint by Singh, a trap was laid and the accused was arrested while accepting the bribe.
