Heat wave continues in Raj, Kota hottest at 42.2 deg C

Heat wave continued in parts of Rajasthan today with Kota recording the highest temperature at 42.2 degree Celsius.
Kota was followed by Jaipur and Jaisalmer, where maximum temperature was recorded at 41.2 degree Celsius and 41 degree Celsius respectively, the MeT Department said here.
Mercury in Barmer, Sriganganagar and Jodhpur settled at 40.2 degree Celsius, 39.9 degree Celsius and 39 degree Celsius respectively, it said, adding day temperatures at other places remained between 37 and 38 degree Celsius.
Light rains were recorded at a few places in the state since yesterday.
