Heat wave marks a return as monsoon weakens over Rajasthan

Heat wave came back to trouble the people in Rajasthan today as the South-West monsoon, which entered the state a week in advance, weakened over the state.
No rainfall was reported from any part of the state during past 24 hours, the MeT department said, adding that monsoon activity may revive by the weekend.
Churu was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Bikaner 43.4, Sriganganagar 43.1, Jaisalmer 41.2, Barmer 40.6, Jaipur 40.4, and Jodhpur 39 degrees Celsius.
