While the maximum temperature in Hisar was three notches above normal, Narnaul also registered a temperature three degrees above normal and settled at 41.5 degrees Celsius, a MeT department report said.
Ambala's maximum settled at 40.7 degrees Celsius, again three degrees above normal while Karnal also braved a hot day at 40.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
Chandigarh experienced a hot day at 39.6 degrees Celsius, up three notches.
In Punjab, Amritsar had a hot day at 41.5 degrees Celsius, up four notches.
