The film is based on the true story of murderer Gary Tison's attempted escape from prison to Mexico, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Patrick, 57, will play Tison, while Graham, 46, will play his wife, Dorothy Tison.
Dwight Little is directing the movie which follows Tison as he is helped in his escape by his loyal family and fellow convicted murderer Randy Greenawalt.
Eric Breiman is producing the project.
