Heatwave conditions in lower hills of HP, some parts receive

Heatwave conditions prevailed in the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh as day temperatures stayed five to eight degrees above normal in spite of rainfall at some places.
Udaipur and Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district received 19 mm and 7 mm of rains respectively, while Tissa and Saloni in Chamba district witnessed 6 mm and 5 mm rainfall respectively.
Rainfall also occurred in Shimla.
Una was the hottest place in the state recording a high of 42.2 degrees Celsius, while Sundernagar recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan at 34.8 degrees Celsius, Nahan at 34.3 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala at 33.2 degrees Celsius and Bhuntar at 33 degrees Celsius
The local MeT office has predicted rains and thundershowers at a few places in the mid hills and rains or snow at some parts in the higher hills for six days from tomorrow.
