Heatwave subsides in Raj, light rains in some parts

Heatwave conditions abated in parts of Rajasthan today where maximum temperatures came down by a few notches as light rains occurred in isolated places.
Kota was the hottest place in the state with the maximum temperature 43.5 degrees Celsius.
Phalodi in Jodhpur recorded maximum of 43 degrees C while Sriganganagar, Jaisalmer, Churu, Jaipur and Pilani recorded maximum temperature of 42.5, 42.3, 41.5, 40.6 and 39.6 degrees Celsius respectively, according to Met department here.
Light rains also occurred at isolated places in the state during the last 24 hours, that included Churu, Karauli, Bharatpur, Alwar and Nagaur.
The weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours with possibility of light rainfall, a forecast said.
