The districts of Chittoor, Kadapa, Nellore and Prakasam received heavy rainfall in the last couple of days.
The reservoirs at Tirumala Tirupati hills, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, received heavy inflows which came as a relief in the wake of water shortage.
The heavy rains led to inundation of low-lying areas in towns and villages in Chittoor and other districts.
Several rivers, rivulets and other water bodies were in spate and public transport became difficult with water gushing on to the roads.
