Heavy rains likely in Odisha due to new low pressure area

The northern and southern region of Odisha is likely to experience heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours due to formation of new low pressure area over north Andaman sea and adjoining area.
An IMD bulletin said the low pressure area over north Andaman Sea and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal lies over central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood today.
Due to its influence, rain and thundershower would occur at many places over south Odisha and at a few places over North Odisha, it said.
