Heavy rains likely in sub-Himalayan districts of West Bengal

The MeT Department today predicted heavy rainfall in sub-Himalayan districts of the state for the next two days, while in southern districts there is possibility of one or two spells of rain.
With most parts of the state receiving little rainfall today, the weatherman forecast a wet Monday and Tuesday for the districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar.
The southern Bengal districts are likely to have a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thunderstorm, it said.
The maximum temperature in Kolkata was recorded as 31.6 degrees Celsius, as the city received 2.5 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
