Help bring back 49 tourists back: CM to Bahuguna

: Chief Minister N Rangasamy has urged his Uttarakhand counterpart Vijay Bahuguna to immediately take steps to ensure safe return of 49 tourists from Puducherry, stranded in that state in the wake of current floods in between Gangotri and Uttarkhasi.
In a message to him, the Chief Minister said he had information that the tourists had embarked on a pilgrimage to Gangothri temple on May 28 and got stranded in between Gangotri temple and Uttarkhasi and are now staying at a hotel in Gangotri.
Rangasamy also stated that he had information that the tourists were running short of money and were falling sick.

"I request you to kindly make necessary arrangements for rescuing them and bring them to Uttarkhasi as early as possible so that they will be able to return to their native place at the earliest", he said.
The Chief Minister said there was also no information on one Prof K Kumaresan of Bharathiyar Engineering College in Karaikal, who had gone on a trip to Kedarnath. He mentioned the mobile number as 08056 725314 and urged that steps be taken to trace him and ensure his return.
