In a message to him, the Chief Minister said he had information that the tourists had embarked on a pilgrimage to Gangothri temple on May 28 and got stranded in between Gangotri temple and Uttarkhasi and are now staying at a hotel in Gangotri.
Rangasamy also stated that he had information that the tourists were running short of money and were falling sick.
The Chief Minister said there was also no information on one Prof K Kumaresan of Bharathiyar Engineering College in Karaikal, who had gone on a trip to Kedarnath. He mentioned the mobile number as 08056 725314 and urged that steps be taken to trace him and ensure his return.
